ISO Training and EducationDear Fellow Firefighter, The Arkansas Association of Resource Conservation and Development Council’s Rural Fire Protection Program is hosting four (4) regional ISO training classes in March and April. The dates and class locations are shown below. Please be aware that you are welcome to attend any one of the classes.
The Rural Fire Protection Program will pay the cost of registration, training materials and meals for the class participants. Since this is a one-day class, we will not cover lodging. We are limited to 50 fire department leaders and will accept no more than three registrations per fire department. This class will specifically target fire departments that serve ISO class 9 areas. This includes departments with a low ISO rate inside the city and class 9 outside the city. The training will focus on equipment, actions, and reports needed to improve ISO class ratings to a class 7 or better. Firefighters will receive 8 hours of Arkansas Fire Academy certification for this training. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and we will dismiss no later than 4:30 p.m. A complete agenda will be available at registration. Complete and return the enclosed registration form as soon as possible. The deadline to receive the form is two weeks before each class is scheduled to be held. Numerous Chainsaw Safety Workshops (PDF) will be held in late April/Early May. Letters will be mailed in a few weeks to register for this Arkansas Fire Academy certified training. Sincerely, Charles Gangluff, Manager
